Experiential Avoidance (EE) is a key concept in the psychological flexibility or inflexibility that people present. EE has been described as a transdiagnostic variable at the base of different mental health problems and one of the axes addressed by ACT Acceptance and Commitment therapy, one of the proposals that integrates the so-called third generation of cognitive behavioral therapies. This colloquium will review the central aspects of EE and recent research carried out in Chile.
