In May 2023, the Psychology program of our Faculty will culminate the process of Self-Evaluation with external evaluation, which began some time ago with the aim of detecting strengths and areas for improvement to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms and the training process of students.
During these months, the active participation of all the actors of the race is essential for the success of this process, so the community will be kept informed about the ways of participation and the stages of the milestone.
Self-evaluation is an evaluation process carried out by the Career itself, through which substantive information about its performance is gathered, validated, analyzed and prioritized, based on its declared purposes and in the light of defined evaluation criteria. This process culminates in a Self-Assessment Report containing an Improvement Plan to close the gaps detected.
On the other hand, the external evaluation consists of the validation of the process and its results by external peers who visit the Career and issue a Peer Report that concludes with strengths and weaknesses, which will be part of the improvement plan that the Career will implement after the process.
Self-evaluation is the first necessary step in a quality assurance process, which allows generating control and quality assurance mechanisms of the training program, gathering substantive information about the fulfillment of the declared purposes and analyzing it in the light of a set of previously defined criteria to make decisions that guide future action through the implementation of an improvement plan that incorporates the areas of improvement identified during the process.
Key Informants
Key informants are those actors who participate in different ways in the race and provide valuable information for analysis during the self-assessment process. The main key informants are usually students, teachers, managers, administrative staff, graduates and employers. Their participation is essential to achieve valid and representative results in this type of process, so they are urged to participate in this last stage and deliver their opinions that will be the basis for the improvement of the career.
The School’s call is to motivate yourself and become part of this final process.
